I recommend using a scale to weigh your ingredients. If you don’t have one, measurements are fine, you may just need to adjust your liquids.
• 3.5 oz (100g) chocolate protein powder
• 1.5 oz oats
• 1 oz natural peanut butter
• 1 tbsp honey or agave nectar.
To eliminate multiple dishes, I used a medium sized bowl, placed it on the scale and used the Tare button to zero out then began adding ingredients one at a time, zeroing out before adding the next ingredient.
When all ingredients are measured in bowl, mix to combine. If you use Optimum Nutrition, like I do, it’s gonna be pretty dry. Simply add almond milk or water, one tablespoon at a time, and continue to mix. Add only enough liquid to help it come together.
DO NOT add too much liquid at once!
Now, with your clean hands, knead the mix into a ball. The dough will be very sticky. A little spritz of cooking spray on your hands might help out. When the dough is thoroughly kneaded, roll into balls.
This recipe should make about five or six protein bites. I doubled the recipe and got twelve, which ended up being the perfect size! They keep nicely in the fridge, in a single layer on a plate, wrapped in plastic. Based on the using water and agave:
