Organic Matcha Green Tea Yogurt & Honey Mask

….say that 5 times fast!

I’ve always had very sensitive skin, so much so that it’s annoying. When I come across a new trick, I’ll try anything once for baby soft, clear skin. It’s important when making this mask to use organic ingredients, so that you aren’t using anything with potentially harmful additives. 

Benefits:

Yogurt contains lactic acid, which helps brighten skin or repair sun damage, fade dark marks, tighten and promote youthful skin. 

Honey is a natural antimicrobial, which can kill bacteria and help treat acne prone skin. 

Green Tea is an antioxidant. It may help reduce puffiness under eyes, treat acne, draw out impurities and reduce the size & appearance of pores. 

These are just some of the benefits of using this mask. You will find that after rinsing, your skin is baby soft and smooth!


 

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 tablespoons Organic plain, unsweetened Greek Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Organic (raw)Honey

Blend all ingredients in a small dish until a smooth mixture results. 

Apply in an even layer on clean skin and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse clean with warm water and pat dry.

If there is extra left, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to a week or two (depending on yogurt’s expiration date). You’ll see I put mine in a small, sealed container for safe keeping.

Could it really be?!

After a very long hiatus, I’m back and ready to dive in head first.  No dipping the toes in, no baby steps, just taking the plunge and blogging until my heart’s content.

Where have I been, you ask?! All over… I packed up and drove out to San Diego in my coupe with nothing but me and a carful of my belongs. After about 5 months or putzing around, I decided to head back to Florida and be closer to my family on the Gulf coast and never looked back.  I also vowed to never make that trip again. Have you driven through Texas before? Oye vey!

The past couple years have been good to me.   I have a fabulous job as a personal trainer, with clients I adore and enjoy working with. A new (not so) puppy-like English Bulldog named Ruger, who is the light of my life and total pain in the butt but I love him none the less. I’m in the best shape of my life, mentally and physically, with no plans of slowing down.

So, if you’re still following me, get your pantry stocked up and your gym clothes out because we’re gonna rock this summer of 2016!

So yesterday I threw together these amazingly fluffy and soooo delicious chocolate chip pancakes. I ended up just dumping ingredients in a bowl and hoping for the best. Well, how sweet they were! And…. I’m totally willing to take one for the team and make another batch with more precise measurements. Any takers?! ;)

The BEST Clean Cheat EVER!

20130716-215855.jpgQuest Peanut Butter Cup STUFFED Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar Cookie

Say that five times fast!! Better yet, save your breath and get ready to inhale these bad mamma-jammas.

So simple and unbelievably satisfying, without the guilt!!

•Step 1: Cut Cookie Dough quest bar into 1/4s. Microwave for 10 seconds.
•Step 2: Shape all 4 pieces into circular form and press VERY flat in between parchment paper, while still warm!

•Step 3: Place 1 Peanut butter cup on top of flattened circle and top with another circle; working quickly while still warm.

•Step 4: Seal edges together making sure no PB Cup is exposed.

Step 5: Bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 10 mins, on parchment lined baking sheet, flipping after 5 minutes.
* I baked mine in my toaster oven, which cooks faster because it’s smaller. After my first batch of Quest Cookies, I learned 300 is a better temp for the toaster oven, as it browns very quickly!
